*This post was written on July 2 and scheduled to publish before we had Chrislyn. I am now scheduling it to be published at a later date (the date you’re reading it)- but I'm posting it as it was originally written, so I can look back and remember/capture my thoughts and excitement for Baby Blanchard before our world was completely shattered.

Where in the world did June go?!
Our months are starting to get much more full with activity- so this one will be hopefully more fun to reminisce on!
I am, and always have been, a big big big fan of summer! I know so many people get all excited about everything fall, but summer has always been my jam. To me, everything is better in the summertime!
So let's get into our monthly recap...
We had lots of Sundays full of church in the morning, brunch or lunch after, and then running some errands together.
June was also jam packed with doctor appointments. As I said in my previous book post yesterday, as of the past few weeks, we see our high risk Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor 1x a week and we also see our usual obgyn 1x a week. Add some pediatric cardiologist appointments into the mix- and we were pretty much living at various doctor offices throughout June. Whatever gives us our healthy baby soon, we're all for it!
(Shout out to Sam for sharing her maternity clothes with me- such as this shirt!)

Lots and lots of growth ultrasounds let us see this precious one's little face often. We are sure grateful for that.
After one appointment, we had bad news about potential skeletal dysplasia aka dwarfism (which ultimately turned to good news, THANKFULLY), so I wasn't in the mood to cook dinner. Shane and I headed to Red Robin for their amazing gluten-free buns/burgers and a little milkshake pick me up.
A lot of our recent 3rd trimester appointments have been very concerning, so I leave in a weird funk for the rest of the day and it's hard for me to focus on my usual daily routines, cooking dinner being one of them.
Cash knows just when to be cuddly and sweet and he never lets me down at those times.
We checked our Infant CPR class and also our breastfeeding class (through our hospital) off the list this month!
Shane got a golf tee (and bacon and Dad's root beer) from church for Father's Day.
The bump (and I) sure have been growing!
I had to go to an elementary school in downtown Alexandria to do assessments one morning, and it really took me back to be in another Literacy Interventionist's office. It was the last day of school and it was almost a bit nostalgic to just feel all that chaos and excitement in the air. There's definitely a certain feeling on the last day of school in elementary schools!
It sure was nice to put in an hour of work there and then to head back home to finish out my workday...with this little lopsided bump again!
We had our end of year celebration for Wright to Read students and their families one HOT day in Alexandria. This was super fun to be out in the community and we had food trucks, game trucks, etc. I met the CEO of our entire organization and we discovered that she was also a Michigan State Alum...I got our side of the program some extra brownie points that day. 😉
Being a big ole pregnant lady in this hot summer month had me kind of lazy. Sheet tray dinners for the win! I just throw a kind of meat on the tray, chop up a variety of veggies, drizzle them all with some oil and seasonings, and toss it in the oven. Shane and I are always so surprised at how well these end up tasting with all the flavors melding together.
I've been having Shane use the grill a lot more in the summer months. Steak is more often than not our Friday dinner on TV trays while we watch something together.
We spent some more weekend afternoons at the dog park on base. We're trying to get these pups all their uninterrupted playtime before baby gets here!
It was one of Shane's high school friend's birthday, so we joined them at Top Golf to celebrate.
I even swung a golf club twice with Baby Blanchard in there.
Ohhh, these swollen feet...after walking the dogs in the heat and after standing during the day, my feet and ankles are sure unrecognizable. I remember Jessica Simpson posting a pic of her feet when she was pregnant...and I feel like mine are almost at her swollen level. Yikes!
We had lots of our relaxing evenings with C&C.
With me working more outside of our house, CayCay was so happy to be right up next to me (more than usual) on the days I was home working.
Cray Cay, as she is sometimes called...
These two are sure ready for their baby sibling to be here!
My mama's boy...
And Shane who can literally fall asleep anytime and anywhere, as you've heard and seen before...
Meanwhile, Brecks is getting so grown up!
That's it for June! We are BEYOND excited and ready for July!!!
