May Amazon Haul + Previous

Woo hoo, I was been good in May with not buying too too much from Amazon! (It helps that I was at at my parents' as opposed to being home.) I know this post is coming a tad bit late, but with being out of town for so long, I took a week or so off of blogging at the end of May, if ya couldn't tell.

Anyways, since I didn't purchase that much this month, most of this post will be devoted to previous purchases from earlier in the year and also our favs of 2020.

But first, here's my one May favorite that does stand out.


I got this visor because I didn't pack my other ones with me, and I wanted a visor that had a narrower brim and looked more like a baseball hat shape as opposed to another big wide visor. Does that make sense? I'm not sure that this one is as narrow as I wanted, but it's still good! I'm obsessed with covering my terribly wrinkled face from the sun all the time now.
Now, the rest of this is a big long list, so sit back with your coffee and enjoy! This is fun for me to share some of my favorite items that could make your life easier or more enjoyable too. I know bloggers do this to get a commission and payment from links, but I clearly don't have that going on, so it's truly me just enjoying sharing some of my favorite items and hoping you will get to enjoy them too!


I wrote about this briefly in another post, but I had the idea of covering the dogs' bed in the living room with a fitted baby crib sheet. It has worked out wonderfully! I had planned for that bed to be in our bedroom so originally got a sheet that matched that decor, but since this bed gets much more use in the living room and lives there now, I ordered a new sheet that fits in with the decor a bit better. We love it!


Prior to our honeymoon, I got Shane a new swimsuit from here. It turned out perfectly! There's some other design/color options too besides the coral anchor one he has on in the pic. Since then, I've ordered him like 5 too-cute-to-resist swimsuits from other stores (beach living!), but this one is an easy Amazon find.


Shane got this garment bag to carry his military uniform in for our wedding, and he was raving about it. This one is definitely for the men but might be a good, useful gift? It’s not pictured because Shane’s mom still has it at her house post-wedding!


I have this tennis skirt in white (for my bachelorette party originally) and then in coral for our honeymoon. I've had other tennis skirts in previous years, but this one was recommended by a blogger and definitely fits the best and is the most comfy! I love everything about it. I might just need to get another color... I'm thinking orange, light blue or yellow? Please note that the colors do come differently than pictured. You'll see both versions of this in some other pictures on this post too!


I got this crop tank in black for Mere's bachelorette and in white for my own bachelorrete. It's comfy and has a great fit. It works really well (by not showing too much stomach) when paired with high-waisted leggings or the tennis skirt above.


Ahh, I love love love these mixing bowls! I ordered them with some wedding money. They are cute out on our dining hutch and just make me happy whenever I get to use them!


Another favorite wedding money purchase! I just adore these bowls, and I get so excited whenever we have soup or chili, etc. so that we can use them. Classy, simple, and just something different.


Okay, I love these earrings so much. I rarely dress up these days, but when I do, you can bet that these earrings will most likely be one of my top choices. I think I disregard the bigger size hoops, but the other ones are great!


This was on my birthday list last year and my mom got them for me. They just make baking a little bit more fun- and a bonus is that they're cheaper and good for the environment! I love making blueberry muffins and having them around to snack on, so these were a good purchase for our household.


One of my favorite bloggers raves and raves about this for her kids. I try to get our close friend's kids gifts for when they are born and their 1st birthday. This was Sam's daughter's Emmy's 1st birthday gift from us and Sam always gives us rave reviews about it! I just thought it was so cute.


Shane rarely wears his actual wedding ring (maybe to church, when we go out, or for an event) but otherwise he's using his hands at work and doing housework or fixing/building something, so he primarily wears these silicone rings. These are his favorite ones he's found so far; he loves the color options and switching them up.


One of my favorite fanny packs! Shane and I refer to them as my "fanny" hah and I swear I will never fully go back to purses after loving the convenience and hands-freeness of fanny packs. Love the look of this one, this is probably my most used one.


This is where I got my "active" fanny pack that I use when biking or walking the dogs at the nature preserve or something. I love this one too. It's simple, cute, and just makes everything super easy. (Also see the crop top and tennis skirt mentioned above, pictured here too.)


I didn't want a sash or anything too crazy for my bachelorette, but I thought this veil was a perfect balance of cute and living it up as a bride on my bachelorette. So cute!


Oh gosh, don't even get me and my friend Amber started on talking about this. When both of our husbands were deployed last year, and it was time for Caylor to blow all of her puppy fur and for Cash to blow his winter coat, plus she has 2 golden retrievers, this because our obsession. We used it multiple times a day and texted about it daily. It is mindblowing! I swear it's one of the best things I've ever bought for that price. It's so amazing at sweeping up and clumping up all the dog fur to throw away. EVERYONE with a dog needs this.


I got this to encourage me to drink more water (I've tried everything in the past 5 years) before my wedding boudoir pics and bachelorette party. It made its reappearance when I was pregnant too. I can't stand lugging that huge thing around with me, so I just keep it on the counter and use it as a visual and way to pour out water into my cup I carry around so I can measure how much I am actually drinking that day.


This was a cute find for Mere's bachelorette! It's just easy to throw on to elevate a look a little. I would size down if I were you, since mine is a little too loose around the hips.


Ohhhh, this item. When Shane was deployed last year, I didn't have a brain, and I accidentally locked myself out of our guest bathroom in our house. I called our neighbor/friend who is a firefighter, and he came over with a key like this. He says they have them over every door in their house. We purchased them immediately after, but we haven't had to use it again! Just in case....we have them. Especially if you have young kids, they would be great!


Shane and I have these in multiple colors. We mostly use them when we do errands on Saturday mornings or when we go to church, I always bring one with too. I used to use them way back during my internship year of college, too.


I love this for vacations or warm weather! I just think it's so cute and not too fussy.


When I went to my friend's daughter's birthday party last year (she was in 1st grade), I ordered this as a easy gift. What kid doesn't want fresh markers? 


These thank you notes are perfect to have on hand. I love that they're bright and cheery, and I love the floral of course!


This one is random and probably not that exciting, but I use these kind of notepads ever since I started working from home. I have different colors, but the white is my favorite. Things like this just calm me and make work that much more tolerable.


My Houston hairstylist recommended this because one side of my hair, and the front of my hair, always breaks off. She thought this would help. I can't really confidently say that it does, but I know sleeping on silk is better for skincare too. I just like laying my head on this at night!


These cups are mostly what I use around the house. I need a lid because of the dogs and because spring/summer has a LOT of flies in our area. They aren't color changing, as promised, and I know they're not BPA free, but they're convenient and I like mixing and matching the lids, straws, and cups for some bright and cheery color combos.


I swear by these shoes for walking the dogs! I never want to go put on socks, put on actual gym shoes, etc. so I just keep these in our front closet and easily slip them on whenever I walk the dogs. I can just throw them in the washing machine whenever they get dirty, too- which is much, much needed right about now. They're probably very "mom-ish" but it is what it is! They have a cute neon/tie-dye type design on the bottom sides, which is worn off/too dirty right now!


I wear these sometimes when I'm walking the dogs. You can wear them on your ankles, but I like to use them on my arms to tone up a bit more. I use them when I do barre, pilates, or yoga at home too. They're just 1 pound weighted bands!


Stephanie was always trying to convince me to become a robe girl, and once I started over Shane's deployment, I never went back. I love wearing it with my pajamas at night before bed, and a little in the morning if I don't get dressed right away. I'm always cold, so this big, fuzzy, blanket like one is super cozy! I bought a white version that's much shorter for the summer/spring months now too. Lord help Shane that has to watch me walk around in this constantly. The light blue was soothing and relaxing I thought, but I am often tempted to get another more wintery color for those winter months...


And last but not least, these hair ties are my favs! They stretch out, but they go back down to normal shape over night. I like the variety of colors (not all pictured here) and I mainly wear them because they don't break my hair. Another item on this list that's just easy!
