Day After Wedding- Farewell Dinner

To keep aligned with the rest of this wedding timeline, the posting of the pics of our wedding events is going to be out of order on here! 

We're starting with our Farewell Dinner- the day after our wedding. Since we didn't get a traditional rehearsal dinner, we wanted that intimate setting with friends and family- especially those that traveled so far to be there to celebrate with us. This was our way of thanking them and getting to spend quality time with those guests!

There are a LOT of nights where I'm still up in the middle of the night, replaying and stressing over all that went wrong with our wedding, and feeling very unfair and let down, and having a hard time thinking/seeing/reading/doing anything with our wedding or any other wedding, but reflecting on those who were there that are closest to us and seeing the elements of a wedding we DID have help me to associate this all with some positive memories. Still praying that gets better over time...

This picture became infamous once we realized it was when Shane was explaining to my mom where he parked my car in the airport parking lot. It seemed simple enough, but when my mom landed and was trying to find the car, so she could then go grab the dogs from the sitter's house, it turned into a multiple hours long debacle of her calling my brother crying and trying to use her iPhone to trace her steps and find our location, calling Lord knows who else, and ended up having a police escort her to our car.

SO many of the members of my HUGE families (mom's and dad's side) were MIA for this wedding, sadly, but those who were there truly mean the world to us.

We had only been to The Woodlands a few times before having most of our wedding festivities there, but we love it! That would be my dream "suburb" to move to outside of Houston in TX.

My mom went back to the hotel with my Aunt Diane and Uncle Clint (she was flying to NC to dog sit while my dad had a separate flight back to VH), so the rest of us grabbed Creamistry in downtown The Woodlands before going our separate ways.

Meanwhile my childhood friend Tim was living his best life with Shane's family in the hotel lobby. These pics that they texted to me and Shane were cracking us up that night!

And then we were off to our honeymoon!
