Happy Friday!
Here's a short post to close out the week. The pictures aren't the greatest but still a fun evening worth sharing.
Another holiday to catch up on...New Year's Eve!
We spent this holiday with our awesome friends (Blake and Rebecca, and their two kids) we met back in December. Since then, we've spent every weekend possible together in addition to seeing each other every Sunday for church! It was just one of those couple friendships where we all instantly clicked. Rebecca and I text every day, and it's so nice to finally find a natural friend like that here in NC.
Shane and Blake were deployed together (and Rebecca and I are SO MAD we didn't know each other then. Deployment would have been a totally different story for the both of us.) and Rebecca and I had been going to the same church (unknowingly) when they were gone. Shane and Blake started to go to chapel together on the ship, and Shane invited him to "our" church when they got back- the same church that Rebecca had happened to start to go to. We all met one Sunday in church, and we've been so grateful ever since.
So. back on track, for NYE, we went to their house for appetizers, dinner, fireworks, board games, a few drinks, Mario Party, and the VR. We had a blast!
Our pups came to play with their dog (which they now have another puppy, too!) and their son, William. Our dogs are OBSESSED with kids and other dogs!
When you're celebrating with southerners, there's going to be fireworks. I kept my distance for sure.C&C enjoyed watching the show. Our pups are so spoiled and go EVERYWHERE with us- every errand (if it's not the summer) and all of our friends' houses. The only places they don’t go are the gym, church, and if we have an evening out! We take advantage of anything and everything to get that husky energy and boredom out. We love giving them new experiences and making them so happy too!
This dog LIVES for attention from kids. We're so super proud that we all stayed up past midnight. I think we got home around 1AM which is not the norm lately! #lame
We ended the night with Beat Sabers to Lady Gaga's songs on VR, haha. Too much fun!
